Step 9
Next we'll learn about XYZ coordinates
Temp1563125628

In the bottom left corner we see a blue, green and red line. This shows the X, Y and Z axis in blender.

Temp1563127146

Here the
Z axis is blue
Y axis is green
X axis is red

Temp1563127563

Z axis Makes it go up and down
Y axis Makes it go forward and backward
X axis Makes it go Left and Right

Step 10
We can press X, Y or Z after we pressed a transformation key to align our action an axis

Let's try grabbing our object with aligning it to the XYZ axis.

  1. Select object
  2. Press G to grab
  3. Then press X, Y or Z to move along the X, Y or Z axis
  4. Left click to finish moving the object.
Shortcuts Learned:

[S] - Scale
[R] - Rotate (based on camera position)
[R + R] - Rotate (based on mouse position)
[G] - Grab
[H] - Hide
[ALT + H] - Unhide all

[X] - to align along X axis when grabbing
[Y] - to align along Y axis when grabbing
[Z] - to align along Z axis when grabbing
Step 11
Let's try this with scaling! With the object selected, press S and then press X, Y or Z to scale along the X,Y,Z axis
  1. Select object
  2. Press S to scale
  3. Then press X, Y or Z to scale along the X, Y or Z axis
  4. Left click to finish scaling the object.
Shortcuts Learned:

[S] - Scale
[R] - Rotate (based on camera position)
[R + R] - Rotate (based on mouse position)
[G] - Grab
[H] - Hide
[ALT + H] - Unhide all

[X] - to align along X axis when grabbing, scaling
[Y] - to align along Y axis when grabbing, scaling
[Z] - to align along Z axis when grabbing, scaling
Step 12
Lastly let's try rotating along the X, Y and Z axis. Press R to rotate, and then press X, Y and Z.
  1. Select object
  2. Press R to rotate
  3. Then press X, Y or Z to rotate along the X, Y or Z axis
  4. Left click to finish rotating the object.
Shortcuts Learned:

[S] - Scale
[R] - Rotate (based on camera position)
[R + R] - Rotate (based on mouse position)
[G] - Grab
[H] - Hide
[ALT + H] - Unhide all

[X] - to align along X axis when grabbing, scaling, rotating
